CURRY IN KENT 2012

Curry in Kent is back - and bigger than ever!

To celebrate the opening of the new Parish Room at St. Luke's Church, we're relocating from my conservatory/garden to this superb new location - where there's plenty of room (and parking) and it's just up the road from me.

Above: the new Parish room.

Curry in Kent will be on Saturday 4 August 2012 at the Parish Room, St. Luke's, Chiddingstone Causeway, Kent TN11 8JE. Feeding time at 5pm sharp. (Provisional menu here.)

Here are directions for getting to Chiddingstone Causeway. The Parish room is 30 seconds drive from my house.

What's Curry in Kent for?

The main intention is just to have fun - but if you feel the need to part with some cash it will go to St. Luke's Church (having built the Parish Room we now have to pay for it).

We hope to have a raffle on the day. (Offers of prizes welcome.)

Also - the excellent local Ale (Larkins) will be available. However, please bring a bottle (preferably full) as the deal is I bring the curry; you bring the booze.

Do let me know if you are coming, and if you will be bringing any Significant Others, so I can plan numbers. (Attendence is by invitation only.)

If you want to make a day of it, there are some details of touristy things at the Local attractions page.

Remember - I bring the curry; you bring the booze!

What's on offer

I'm going for a global curries theme, with a couple of curries I haven’t tried before. The proposed offerings for this year are:

Peri Peri Kari
A Portuguese/Mozambican prawn curry.

Rajasthani chicken curry
A creamy chicken curry from western India.

Sri Lankan bean curry (vegetarian)
Green bean curry with lots of tumeric and goraka.

Malagasy curry
Mixed chicken and prawn curry with lots of herbs; from Madagascar.

I look forward to seeing you on 4 August!

Stuart
