Membership in the Kentucky Colonels Neither the UK Brigade of Kentucky Colonels nor the US-based Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels appoints or commissions Kentucky Colonels. That is the privilege solely of the sitting Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The name Kentucky Colonel has become synonymous with strength of character, leadership and dedication to the welfare of others. Further information on the commissioning of Kentucky Colonels can be obtained by contacting the Governor's Office in Frankfort, Kentucky. The UK Brigade of the Kentucky Colonels is an informal association, which all commissioned Kentucky Colonels living or working in the UK are invited to join. Other Kentuckians and Britons who wish to support our charitable work are also most welcome to become involved. |
